This is unrefined shea butter, so it carries its natural nutty-earthy scent. This is completely normal and is a sign that the butter has not been processed or deodorized.

Texture & What to Expect
Raw shea butter has a naturally firm, sometimes slightly grainy texture — this is normal and does not indicate a problem with the product. The graininess comes from different fatty acids in the butter cooling and solidifying at different rates. It will still melt smoothly into your skin with the warmth of your hands.

In warmer weather or high temperatures, shea butter may soften, melt, or separate slightly. If this happens, simply let it cool to room temperature or place it in the refrigerator briefly to firm back up. Its quality and effectiveness are not affected by these changes.

How to Use

• Skin: Warm a small amount (about the size of a pea) between your fingertips until it melts, then apply to dry areas. A little goes a long way — start small and add more as needed.
• Hair: Melt a small amount between your palms and smooth over hair to seal in moisture, reduce frizz, or add shine. Use sparingly to avoid buildup.
• Scalp: Gently massage a small amount directly into the scalp to help with dryness. Use as part of your regular hair care routine.
